ThankYouX began his artistic journey on the streets of Los Angeles, spray painting stencils in homage to Andy Warhol.
While those stencils were his initial calling card, gaining him a cult like following – they only scratched the surface of his multifaceted artistic identity. As his notoriety grew to international acclaim, the scope of his expression evolved to contemporary abstract images that stand in striking contrast to the more conventional graffiti-inspired street-art paradigm.
ThankYouX went on to exhibit paintings and sculptures in London, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and Hong Kong. He has more recently attracted the attention of the art world cognoscenti with his large scale abstract work.
Notably, he was the official artist of the Global Citizen music festival in New York (curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin); and he recently completed an artist residency at Soho House in West Hollywood.
ThankYouX continues to push the boundaries and challenge himself with his next solo exhibit in Los Angeles at the Avenue Des Arts Gallery. Focusing heavily on sculpture that will spark a conversation.
